6th Grade
The sixth grade math program will draw on
student's prior knowledge and relates math to their everyday
lives. Math content is presented in manageable parts, and
step-by-step instruction helps students master and apply
skills while integrating algebra, geometry, data analysis,
and problem solving.
Through a continuous process of building and
checking understanding, sixth grade Math helps students
understand and retain skills.
7th Grade
The seventh grade math curriculum deals with
the following areas:
1. Interpreting Data and Statistics
2. Applications of Decimals
3. Algebra: Integers and Equations
4. Fractions
5. Using Proportions and Percents
6. Geometry Concepts
7. Geometry and Measurement
8. Using Probability
9. Algebra: Patterns and Functions
10. Graphing in the Coordinate Plane
Problem solving will be used with each area
of the curriculum. We will be working on projects and other
activities to supplement the textbook. All of these areas
will help to prepare the students for the curriculum in the
eighth grade.
