Last Thursday the Lady Chargers Soccer team earned their second win of the week beating the Huron Tigers 4 to 1. Samantha Seiling opened the scoring for the Chargers off a pass from Heather Johnson. Emma Stevens broke up a breakout attempt by the Tigers in front of their net and fed the ball to Cassie Williams whose shot on goal was deflected off the keeper and was pounced upon by Elyse Turton to put the Chargers up by 2 goals. The Tigers scored late in the 1st half but the Chargers maintained their momentum into the 2nd half. Heather Johnson sent a free kick in front of the Huron goal to Michelle Johnston whose shot squeezed through the keeper and was finished by Cassie Cooper. With 23 seconds left in the game the Chargers were awarded a corner kick. Heather Johnson delivered the ball into goal box where Stephanie Barnett directed it to Samantha Seiling for her 2nd goal of the game.  The Chargers are now 2-1-1.
